Junk Man
& Tape Man

Tape Man:

The “Tape Man” is our more complicated idea, using the building across the street as the background and using tape to create our character to interact with the window in the background.

We used a whiteboard marker to mark all the spots in the background window on the window we used the tape for. We cut out all the separated body parts for different movements of the character.

One of our main challenges for this project is the Tape Man flying by flapping his arms. We filmed more detailed frames of the flapping arm motions, but we couldn’t figure out a way to speed up selected frames without changing the frame speed for all the frames. So we resulted in this version.

Junk Man:

Junk Man was born from our first idea: using scrape laying around ITP but also can be identified with ITP.

We decided to use a mixture of different materials to create an “energy force”, and human life came from the ball part by part.

When the human was constructed and being on an island, it was confused with the idea of life but somehow is ok withit.
