We recorded sounds separately after having our concept in mind. Instead of teaming up together and using the zoom recorder to record sounds together, we recorded sounds separately using our iPhone voice memos. Initially, the idea was to simply use short and crisp sounds to make some sort of drum instrumental. It eventually led to us using easily identifiable sounds. Therefore we landed on the concept of building a story of some sort in the beginning and using the “beat” as a way of emphasizing the loop of the story. We gathered our sound and edited the Sound Walk in a single setting together. It was more efficient for everyone to submit their inputs and overall better for completion of the sound walk.
