This is the scale drawing for my current idea. A medium size that can be displayed on most work desks.
The shape in the drawing is a placeholder. I aimed for a rounded shape, but haven’t decided on the final form.

Material:
The material I’m thinking of for this project is flexible, but the material needs to be UV-stable/resistant. I need the only light coming through the light sculpture to be where the opening is. The materials I am considering at the moment are wood or clay (plaster mold?). Clay will make a little more sense for the weight since the top part needs to be able to move with gears. Potentially a 3D-printed upper.
